Live in Nigeria · 25 banks and wallets

Send money across Africa in naira, instantly.

Send money from Nigeria in naira, straight from the bank account or mobile wallet you already have. No dollars, no paperwork, and nothing new to download. It arrives in under two minutes.

Supported by Afreximbank, the African Union and the AfCFTA Secretariat

Faster

Transfers complete in under two minutes, not two days. No correspondent bank sitting in the middle slowing things down.

Safer

You never leave your own bank or wallet. Same app, same branch, same protections you already have, under Central Bank of Nigeria supervision.

In naira

No dollar leg and no third-party exchange rate. You pay in naira, they receive their own currency. Nothing lost in between.

There is no PAPSS app to download.

You use PAPSS inside the bank app, mobile wallet or branch you already use. PAPSS will never call you, never hold your money, and never ask for your PIN or your OTP. If anyone offers you a PAPSS-branded app, wallet or login, it is a scam.

What you can do

Built for the way
Nigeria actually trades.

Whether you are paying school fees in Accra or settling a supplier invoice in Nairobi, PAPSS moves the money in naira, from the account you already hold.

How it works

Three steps,
inside the bank you already use.

PAPSS sends money from your existing account, so you can only use it through a bank or mobile wallet connected to the system.

1

Open your bank app or mobile wallet, or visit your branch

Six Nigerian banks and two mobile wallets support PAPSS directly in-app. Every participating bank supports it at the branch.

2

Choose to send money to another African country

Select the country, then pick PAPSS as the transfer method. Branch staff have been trained to set this up for you.

3

Enter the amount in naira and confirm

You will see the fee and the amount the receiver gets before you approve anything. No hidden conversion.

Your money arrives in under two minutes.

Straight into the receiver's normal bank account. They do not need to sign up for anything.

No match. Your bank or wallet may not be on PAPSS yet, so tell us below and we will let you know the moment it is.

Your bank or wallet is not on the list?

Tell us who you bank with. We will let you know the moment they go live, and your request helps us show that provider there is real demand from its own customers.

Thank you. We will be in touch as soon as your bank is live on PAPSS.

Staying safe

A new name in payments always attracts people trying to take advantage of it. Here is exactly how PAPSS does and does not work, so you can spot anything that is not right.

  • There is no PAPSS app, PAPSS wallet or PAPSS login. You reach PAPSS through your own bank or wallet. Anything PAPSS-branded asking you to sign up is fraudulent.
  • PAPSS never holds your money. Funds move between your provider and the receiving one, and never through us.
  • PAPSS never contacts customers directly. We will not call, text or message you about a transfer.
  • No one will ever ask you for your PIN, password or OTP. Not PAPSS, and not your bank.
  • If something looks wrong, call your bank first. Then report it to us at info@papss.com.
Common questions

Everything else
you might be wondering.

Do I need to download anything?

No. PAPSS lives inside your existing bank app, mobile wallet or branch. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

How long does a transfer take?

Under two minutes in almost all cases. The money lands in the receiver's normal bank account.

What does it cost?

Your bank sets the fee, and it is typically lower than a dollar-routed transfer because there is no correspondent bank taking a cut in the middle.

Does the receiver need to do anything?

Nothing at all. They do not need a PAPSS account, an app, or a dollar account. The money simply arrives.

Can I send more than the limit?

Yes. Above the naira equivalent of $2,000 for individuals or $5,000 for businesses, your bank will ask for standard supporting documents.

Can I send to any bank in that country?

Not always. The receiving institution has to be reachable on PAPSS, either as a direct participant or through the PAPSS Extended Network. Use the country checker above, and confirm with the person you are sending to before you start.

What if my bank or wallet is not listed?

Leave your details above. We will tell you when they go live, and we will show that bank that its own customers are asking for it.
